Bulgrin, Betty Lou (31 DEC 1948)

A beautiful wedding ceremony was solemnized at eight o’clock New Years Eve, Dec. 31st, 1948, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at Colorado Springs, Colo., when Miss Betty Louis Bulgrin repeated the sacred wedding vows after Rev. W. G. Sunde, uniting her in marriage to Howard Erickson.

Wearing a bridal gown of white satin with a long train trailing from her headdress she approached the altar carrying a lovely bouquet of pink roses. Attending her as bridesmaid was a very close friend, Marcia Paterson, and her sister, Elaine, as maid of honor. Miss Patterson wore a gown of pink while Miss Bulgin wore a formal of blue satin. They carried bouquets similar to that of the bride of roses.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother Norman, as best man, and groomsman, Val Reichert.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Sheila Volkmann, a close friend of the young couple rendered two vocal selections.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Laura Bulgrin, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). She is a graduate of the Owen High School and of the Northwest Medical Institute at Minneapolis. Since last summer she has been employed at the Memorial Hospital at Colorado Springs, Colo.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson, Curtiss (Clark Co.) and a graduate of the Owen High School. He also has been employed in Colorado Springs since last summer.

Among the guests attending the ceremony were, Mrs. Laura Bulgrin, Owen; Norman Erickson, Curtiss; Miss Gloria Wolfram, Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wears, Colorado City, Colorado.
