St. Mary’s Czestochowa Church (Clark Co., Wis.) of Stanley, was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday, May 19, 1951 at ten o’clock in the morning when Miss Theresa Burzynski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burzynski, became the bride of Adam Staron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Staron of Thorp. Rev. Jerome J. Kamla performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was dressed in a white satin gown with scallop edge and tulle front, trimmed with lace and seed pearls. She wore a fingertip veil trimmed with lace and her crown was beaded with seed pearls and rhinestones. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and white gladiolas. Around her neck she wore a pearl and rhinestone choker, a gift from the groom.

Miss Martha Burzynski, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was an orchid taffeta and headbands to match and she carried a bouquet of pink gladiolas and white carnations.

Mary Ann Liszewski, nice of the bride, acted as flower girl. She wore a white organdy gown. Her bouquet was identical to those of the bridesmaids.

Miss Julia Burzynski, sister of the bride, was attired in a Nile green gown, Miss Laurie Staron, sister of the groom, in an aqua gown, and Miss Emily Burzynski, sister of the bride, in a yellow gown, served as bridesmaids. Their gowns and bouquets were identical to that of the maid of honor. The bride’s gifts to her attendants were rhinestone necklaces, earrings and bracelets to match and to the flower girl a rhinestone cross.

The groom was attended by Fred Staron, brother of the groom, as best man. The ushers were Andy Burzynski, brother of the bride, and Larry Staron, brother of the groom. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos of midnight blue and white carnations on their coat lapel.

After the ceremony the bride, assisted by the maid of honor, carried a bouquet of flowers on the Blessed Virgin Altar, while the choir sang "On This Day O Beautiful Mother." The bride’s mother wore an aqua dress and the groom’s mother a light brown dress. They both wore corsages of red roses and white carnations.

A reception took place at the P.N.A. Hall at Thorp. Music furnished all afternoon and evening by Kodl’s Orchestra.

The young couple left on a wedding trip thorugh southern Wisconsin and will make their home on a farm near Thorp.
