Conway, Catherine E. (1868? - 18 MAR 1951)

Mrs. Catherine E. Conway, 82, of Lyndon Station, Wis., mother of Francis J. Conway of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at St. Mary’s Ringling Hospital, Baraboo, Wis., on Sunday evening, March 18, 1951, at 10 o’clock. Death was caused by a heart attack she suffered while attending church Sunday morning.

Catherine Doyle was born at Lyndon Station, Wis. and spent her entire life in that city. She made many visits to Thorp where she was well acquainted and had made numerous friends.

She was united in marriage to M. F. Conway fifty years ago at Lyndon Station, who preceded her in death in 1935.

She is survived by three sons, Francis J. Conway, President of the Thorp Finance Corp., Thorp, Robert M. Conway, Sec. Treas. Farmers Loan & Thrift Co. and Minnesota Sales Co., Rochester, Minn., and Bernard T. Conway, Hardware Merchant and Funeral Director, Lyndon Station; two brothers, William Doyle, who made his home with her, and Thomas Doyle of Milwaukee, Wis. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Lyndon Station on Wednesday morning, March 21st. She was laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
