Fleischman, Virginia (Marriage - 25 Jan. 1941)

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kelty are at home to their friends in Unity, Wis. Their marriage took place Saturday evening, January 25th.

The bride, Miss Virginia Fleischmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fleischmann, chose Jan. 25th, her birthday, as her wedding day. The ceremony was performed at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Lutheran parsonage at Unity by the Rev. J. A. Olson. Donald Kelty the groom, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kelty of Unity, Wis.

The youthful bride was charming in a national blue satin gown, princess style with shirred bodice and flowered hemline. A shoulder veil of blue, a corsage, pearl necklace and bracelet completed her ensemble.

Miss Lorraine Kelty, sister of the bridegroom, wore an American beauty taffeta frock with a matching head band and a pearl necklace. Her corsage was similar to the bride’s.

The groom was attended by his brother, Glen Kelty.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony. About forty guests were present. For the occasion the home was decorated with streamers in national blue and American beauty colors.

Among the guests from here who attended the reception were Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Fleischman, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kauffman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kauffman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kauffman. Miss Verla Miller, Eau Claire, formerly of Abbotsford, was also present.
