Storm, Frank W. (21 Mar 1901 - 3 Jan 1996)

Frank W. Storm, 94, Aurora Colo., formerly of Chili, died at 7:44 a.m. Jan 3, 1996, at Aurora Presbyterian Hospital in Aurora, Colo.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hansen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Stan Pegram, of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Chili will officiate. Carol Snelling will be the organist for Duane Helgerson, soloist. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel.

He was born March 21, 1901 in Granton, to William and Augusta (Hoffman) Storm. He married Muriel Brooks on Jan. 1, 1924, in Neillsville. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in October 1973.

Mr. Storm attended Granton Elementary school and graduated from Granton High School. After his education, he operated a barber shop in Granton for a few years. Then he moved to Chili and was employed in Marshfield at a foundry and later at Marshfield Cold Storage. He then operated his own business as a painting and decorating contractor until his retirement. He continued to live in Chili until October 1994 when he moved to Colorado to live with his daughter.

He was affiliated with Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili, served as treasurer for the town of Fremont and served on the School Board for the Chili School District.

He was a member of the Chili Senior Citizens and was an avid bowler, serving as an officer in his bowling league. He was also a member if the U.C.T. Council 189.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeannine (Robert) Bentz of Aurora, Colo.; four grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Carl Storm of Marshfield.

He was predeceased by his wife on Nov. 24, 1979; his grandson, Brian Bentz, on June 3, 1990; and his sister, Frieda Trossen.

Memorials may be designated in his name to Immanuel United Methodist Church of Chili.
