Kathleen A. Hauke, 58, Stratford, died peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2013 at House of the Dove, Marshfield with her family by her side.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville, with Rev. John Alphonse officiating. Burial will take place in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time on Monday at St. Andrew’s Church. Kathleen was born on August 11, 1955 in Marshfield, to Lester and Virginia (Potocnik) Jackson and was a graduate of Stratford High School. She married Gary J. Hauke on September 16, 1977 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Stratford.

Kathy was a beautiful woman with a fair and easy heart. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly as they loved her.

She worked at the Marshfield Clinic for many years, starting there as a medical assistant in Oncology, then Plastic Surgery and ended her career in the Patient Assistance Center. Kathy enjoyed her work and still holds close dear friends that she met throughout her career. She later took care of her daughter, Lindsey Hauke until her passing in 2005 when she too lost her battle to cancer. They are both beautiful women who in the end needed one another. Kathy enjoyed many things in retirement. She loved going to the cabin with her husband and family. She loved reading, crocheting, Harley rides, fishing, and dancing with her sisters, but nothing compared to spending time with her grandchildren, Lucy and Joseph who always put a smile on her face and brightened her whole spirit. She loved those babies. She was a wonderful grandmother, filled with love and they love her always.

She is survived by her husband, Gary and their children, Bailey (Randy) Bargender of Marshfield and Dylan (Mallory Tibble) Hauke of Marathon. She is also survived by her stepfather, and his wife, Glen and Sue Landwehr, and her stepmother, Joanne Jackson. She is further survived by her siblings, Jeff (Jeananne) Landwehr, Clarence (Judy) Jackson, Peggy (Dan) Buesche, Sara (Dave) Koss, Lisa (Kurt) Schwarze, Paul (Sandy) Landwehr, Steve Reiter, Cindie (Don) Roberts, Susan (Michael) Goodman, Rick (Shelly) Jackson, and Randi (Tami) Jackson.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Lindsey, her father, Lester Jackson and her mother Virginia Landwehr.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Ministry St. Joseph’s 4 North, 8 North and the House of the Dove for their service and care.
