Thompson, Betty M. (4 NOV 1950)

Miss Betty Mae Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thompson of Stanley, became the bride of Chester Abramczuk, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Abramczuk of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church here at 11 o’clock, Saturday, Nov. 4th, 1950.

The couple was attended by Tony Wink and Donna Nerdrum, attired in a tagee satin dress with off-shoulder fitted bodice and skirt with ruffled back effect.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin with fitted bodice of French lace over satin, the skirt ending in a white satin train. A fingertip veil was fastened to a halo headpiece trimmed with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pompons.

The bridesmaids were Barbara Przybylski and Louis Abramczuk, who wore identical dresses of gold and lilac satin with off-shoulder fitted bodice. The skirts were styled with lace edged apron effect and they wore matching gauntlets and headpieces.

Joe Kosik and Richard Lassiuk served as ushers.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents which was attended by about one hundred guests.

The newlyweds will make their home on the groom’s farm near Thorp.

Attending the wedding from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mamork, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miemiec, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Baglaz, Eddie Niemiec, all of Chicago; Miss Amelia Grabowski, Miss Amelia Lato, Miss Margie Kubera, all of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Al Nerdrum of Battle Creek, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nerdrum, Carole, and Wayne, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mattott, and Darryle of Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mills, Mr. and Mrs. John Fossum of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nerdrum and family of Withee.
