Paulson, Clifton Adell (C. A.) (12 March 1899 - 11 February 1971)

Funeral services for Clifton Adell (C.A.) Paulson, 71, rural Neillsville cattle buyer who was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital February 11, were held Monday, February 15, at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery near Granton.

C. A. Paulson was born March 12, 1899, in Granton, the son of Ross and Ethel Maude (Raymond) Paulson. He was educated in the Granton area and attended Granton High School before working for several years on road construction. Mr. Paulson spent three years as a cattle dealer in Waupaca before returning to Granton in 1933 and starting the cattle dealership which he operated until the time of his death. His marriage to the former Grace Chapman took place in Granton on July 14, 1921. The Paulsons moved to their home on Pleasant Ridge in the Town of Grant in 1945. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three children, Chap Paulson of Neillsville, Mrs. Willard (Patricia) Rohde of Walla Walla, Wash., and Miss Joyce Paulson of Neillsville; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Lilas) Voigt of Madison, Mrs. Eugene (Ardeen) Hart of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Norman (Ruth) Berlick of Neillsville; and by a brother, Raymond Paulson of Neillsville.

Pallbearers were: Robert Marty, Paul Volkmann, Russel Vandeberg, Ronald Zank, Howard Christenson, and Ruben Schmidt. Organ music was played by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.
