Kramer, Conrad (5 Sept. 1879 - 14 Oct. 1960)

Conrad Kramer died Friday at 2:45 P.M. at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital at the age of 81 years. He suffered a stroke October 6. Funeral services were held at Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford Tuesday afternoon, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating and burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mr. Kramer was born in Germany on September 5, 1879, and came to this country with his parents at the age of 14 years. The family settled on a farm west of Dorchester, Wis. He married Emma Wuest in Dorchester on January 10, 1903. After their marriage, the Kramers resided in Dorchester for 27 years, operating a livery stable, farming and trucking business, and then lived nine years in Marshfield where he was employed by the Roddis Plywood Corporation. From Marshfield, they went to Park Falls and later moved to Abbotsford, Wis. He retired in 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Kramer celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 1958.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Archie (Elsie) Graffunder of Park Falls, Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Sitzberger and Mrs. Claude (Irene) Castner, both of Marshfield; two sons, Alfred of Dorchester and Vilas of Wisconsin Rapids; four sisters and three brothers; 13 grand children and nine great grand children. Two children preceded him in death.
