Krebs, Emma (21 June 1867 - 2 July 1953)

Funeral Services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Emma Krebs, 86. The Rev. Randolph Mueller officiated at the services and burial was made in the West Spencer cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Bymers, Albert Chamberland, Wm. Fisher, S.E. Graves, Henry Fisher and Jake Rizzi.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Paul Bymers, Mrs. Albert Chamberland, Mrs. Wm. Fisher, Mrs. Henry Fisher and Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof.

Mrs. Krebs, a pioneer resident here, was found dead in bed Thursday morning by Mrs. Amelia Miller, who was caring for her. Mrs. Krebs suffered a stroke several years ago and since then had been in poor health.

The body reposed at the Swartout Funeral Home until the time of services.

Mrs. Krebs, the former Emma Perske, was born June 21, 1867, at Manchester, and was married there January 27, 1888. After their marriage they came to Spencer. Mr. Krebs preceded her in death.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Ella Kemmith, Mrs. Herbert Krueger, and Mrs. Martha Damon, Beloit; Mrs. Bertha Hulse, Rhinelander; Mrs. Minnie Gaffney, Marshfield; and Miss Marjorie Krebs, Los Angeles, Calif., two sons, Clarence, Madison; and Carl, Dunkirk Mont.; a brother, J.R. Perske, Rush Springs, Okla.; 25 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A son also preceded her in death.

Relatives and friends from Rhinelander, Beloit, Madison, Dunkirk, Montana, Marshfield, and surrounding communities were here for the funeral.
