Mittlesteadt, Betsey (12 Dec. 1858 - 12 Jan. 1940)

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Mittlesteadt were conducted at the Zink Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30. Dr. E. L. Hoover of the Presbyterian church officiated.

During the services Lloyd Smith and Clarence Nelsen sang two hymns, "I’m Coming Home" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."

Internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. The pallbearers were Ed Hoeft, Ervin Bitter, Clyde Mayfield, Louis Schorer, Louis Weideman and Lloyd Smith. The floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Ed Hoeft, Mrs. Ervin Bitter and Mrs. Lloyd Smith.

Mrs. Alfred Mittlesteadt was born Betsey Jane Damp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Peter Damp, Dec. 12, 1858, in Lowell, Dodge County. She was married in Watertown to Albert Mittlesteadt. For the past 19 years they had made their home in Abbotsford, Wis.

Surviving her are her husband, three sons, Lester and Sylvester of Abbotsford, Earl of Billings, Mont.; one daughter, Mrs. Mac Mead of Milwaukee; one grand daughter, Mildred Mead of Milwaukee; one brother, Peter Damp of Lake Mills and one sister, Mrs. Emily Gore of Beaver Dam.
