Ustianowski, Stella (15 OCT 1949)

Mr. Walter Skowronski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Miss Stella Ustianowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waysl Ustianowski of Lublin, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony in a ceremony performed by Rev. Andrew Kist at the Ukrainian Holy Ghost Church at ten o’clock Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 1949.

The couple was attended by Patrick Skowronski as best man and Phyllis Mendalski, who wore a peach colored hoop skirt with rose decorations.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin, scalloped with lace, which had a heart shaped neckline composed of lace. The waist line was decorated with lace and extended in back. An illusion veil of fingertip length fell from a crown shaped headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums around white roses with a white orchid with purple lip in the center.

Maid of honor was Helen Sawka attired in light blue with hoop skirt. The second attending couple was Mike Ustianowski and Virginia Syryczuk, who also wore a peach colored gown, identical to that of the first bridesmaid.

The bride wore the groom’s gift of a silver studded checkered necklace and her bridesmaids wore silver beaded necklaces.

All attendants carried bouquets of chrysanthemums.

Leroy Szymanik and Stanley Skwierczynski served as ushers. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall at Thorp, where dinner and supper were served to 320 guests.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
