Witte, Donna Mae (Marriage - 15 Aug. 1959)

Miss Donna Mae Witte of Colby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Witte of Colby, and Robert Gueldner of Spring Valley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gueldner of Spring Valley, were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 15, at 4:00 P.M. in Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. William R. Christian officiating at the services.

Mrs. Audrey Laabs of Rochester, Minn., was maid of honor and Miss Barbara Lewis of Augusta was bridesmaid. Miss Karla Witte of Colby was junior bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Dick Gueldner of Chicago, Ill., as best man, and Dennis Witte of Madison.

The bride was attired in a floor-length wedding gown of white nylon organza with square neckline trimmed with bands of embroidered lace. A matching fingertip veil completed her gown. Her cascade bouquet consisted of white and orchid gladiolas with stephanotis.

The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore identical floor-length gowns of orchid nylon organza with short sleeves and boat collars trimmed with bands of embroidered Vinice lace, matching half-hats of looped hair braids and flowers. The junior bridesmaid’s dress was the same only yellow. Their bouquets consisted of yellow and white gladiolas and carnations in baskets.

A reception was held in the church hall following the ceremony. Home decorations consisted of white gladiolas.

After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will be at home after August 31, at 290 S. Franklin Street in Whitewater where the groom is a teacher of mathematics at the high school.
