Stracker, Ernestina (1873? - 23 AUG 1949)

Ernestina Stracker, aged 76, passed away Aug. 23, 1949 of heart trouble while visiting at the home of her daughter Mrs. A.N. MacPherson at Garden Grove, Calif.

She was a native of Germany and had been a resident of California fro 29 years. The Strackers were former residents of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) for 18 years before moving to California.

Funeral services were held Aug. 26 at Modesto, Calif. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.

Since Mr. Stracker’s death two years ago, she has made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Holzhausen at Van Nuys, Calif.

Mrs. Stracker was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Merced, Calif., Rebecca of Thorp, Wis., and Townsend Club Number 1 of Modesto, Calif. She was the mother of six children, all residents of California, Mrs. W. P. Baldwin (Lorena) of Stockton, Mrs. A.N. MacPherson (Elsa) of Garden Grove, Mrs. Hugo Holzhausen (Alma) of Van Nuys, Mrs. A. E. Tillson (Lilly) of Modesto, Mr. Everett Stracker of Studio City, and Mrs. V. R. Sager (Inez) of Costa Mesa. Two brothers also survive, Herman Arendt of Marshfield, Wis., and Emil Arendt of Marshfield. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
