Baronsky, Marie (18 Feb. 1865 - 11 July 1936)

Mrs. Charles Baronsky, aged 71 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rheinhold Schaefer, in the town of Holton, Saturday July 11 at 5:30 in the afternoon following an illness of about four months.

Funeral services were held at the Schaefer home at 9:30, Tuesday, and at St. Thomas Catholic church in Milan at 10 o’clock, the Rev. Wrancis Brickel, officiated. Internment took place in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Marie Mraz was born Feb. 18, 1865 at Prague, Austria. At the age of 16 years she came to America and settled near Stetsonville. She was united in marriage to Charles Baronsky at Medford in 1883. They lived at Chelsea for two years and then moved to the farm in the town of Holton where they endured the hardships of pioneers in clearing a piece of land into a splendid farm. During the later years the couple retired to live with their daughter.

She leaves to mourn her death eight daughters and one son; Mrs. Albert Leu, Abbotsford; Mrs. Martin Winkler, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Wm. Westphal, Abbotsford; Mrs. Joseph Laski, Stetsonville; Mrs. Joseph Strike, Milwaukee; Mrs. Anthony Berna, Wausau; Mrs. Clarence Clifford and Mrs. R. Schaefer and son Frank Baronsky of the town of Holton. There are 32 grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death about four months ago.

The pallbearers were John Zobrak, Jr., John Schrieber, George Blank, Otto and Wm. Hackel and Andrew Zobrak. Flower bearers were Bernice Leu, Margaret Winkler, Margaret Laski, Jeanette Nehring and Leona Westphal.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. Berna and daughter Joyce, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Winkler and children and Mrs. Otto Sittleman of Fond du Lac and three grandchildren from Stetsonville.
