Korn, Marjorie A. (3 APR 1948)

Alvin Kubera, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kubera of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Marjorie Ann Korn, daughter of Mrs. Diana Jackson, Lindsay, Calif. And Harvey Gardner, Hayward, were united in marriage by Rev. F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday morning, April 3rd, 1948.

For her wedding costume Mr. Kubera chose a silver green suit styled with a small peplum. Small pink flowers and pale green veiling accented her white hat. She wore white accessories and a corsage of white orchids.

The bridegroom’s sister, miss Marjorie Kubera, as maid of honor, wore a Paris green pencil stripe suit and white accessories. Her flowers were yellow carnations with pink sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Daniel Slupski, Thorp.

Following the ceremony, breakfast was served at the Club Café. A wedding dance and reception in the evening at Bill Butek’s Wink Inn.

After a honeymoon spent at Rockford, Ill., visiting the bride’s sister, Mrs. Barbara Nyback, the couple will make their home with Mr. Kubera’s parents. The bridegroom is employed as a motion picture operator at the Thorp Theater.

Guests from away who were present for the wedding included Mrs. Diana Jackson, Lindsey, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Nyback and daughter, Sherry, Rockford, Ill.
