Biddle, Colleen W. #2 (7 FEB 1948)

Miss Colleen Waverly Biddle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Biddle, and Robert Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herman, both of this village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony by Father A.M. Muckerheide at a 9:00 ceremony performed at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here on Saturday morning, Feb. 7th, 1948.

The bride chose for her wedding costume a brown pink checked suit with brown accessories and wore a corsage of pink delight roses.

The couple was attended by Gerald Herman, brother of the groom, and Miss Elaine Broeren who wore a navy blue and grey checked suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of pink delight roses.

The groom was attired in a dark brown suit and his best man in dark tan. Both wore white carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother was dressed in a black and aqua crepe gown and Mrs. Herman wore black. Their corsages were of Pinocchio roses. The grandmothers of the bride and groom, Mrs. Jos. Bogumill and Mrs. George Biddle, wore corsages of pink carnations, and the fathers of the couple wore white carnation boutonnieres.

Dinner and supper were served to about thirty relatives at the American Legion Hall and a wedding dance was held in the evening.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kowieski and family of Chicago, Gordon Flora of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The happy couple who are both graduates of Thorp High School enjoy a large circle of friends here who join in best wishes. They will make their home in Thorp where the groom is employed with his father.
