Szpara, Catherine (21 AUG 1896 - 2 JAN 1948)

Mrs. Catherine Szpara of the Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Chippewa Falls hospital of an infection on Friday, Jan. 2, 1948. She had reached the age of 51 years, 4 months and 12 days.

The deceased was born in Chicago on Aug. 21, 1896.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Stefan and Mrs. Jas. Carroll of Chicago, Mrs. Edward Zaborowski and Miss Clara Szpara of Thorp, and eight sisters. Mr. Szpara was accidentally killed in Sept. 1944.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here on Monday morning, Jan. 5th, Rev. Piekarski officiating and interment taking place in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were John Navarre, John Kowalski, Frank Tomkowiak, Basil Harycki, Frank Wyczawski and Steve Maslanka.
