Denzin, Harvey Carl (22 Dec. 1910 - 12 Dec. 1935)

Harvey Carl Denzin, aged 25 years, died at Mount View Sanitorium on Thursday, Dec. 12. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Empey, in the town of Holton, and at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan at 2 o’clock. The Rev. George Groh officiated. Internment took place at the Lutheran cemetery north of Milan.

The deceased was born in the town of Holton, Dec. 22, 1910. At the age of about six years, his mother died. He was united in marriage to Miss Mildred Empey on July 25, 1932, at Waukegan, Ill. During the last three years he worked part of the time at a hotel in Chicago. About a year ago he became ill and soon entered the sanitorium at Wausau where he remained up to the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, one son, Norman, aged three years, his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Denzin, Jr., one brother, Arno, one sister, Mrs. Henry Venzke, two half brothers, Alvin and Ray Denzin and four half-sisters, Viola, Mildred, Dora and Erline Denzin and a grandfather, Fred Denzin.

Pallbearers were: Delbert and William Denzin, William and Eldred Empey, Andrew Haderlein and Ervin Zahorka. The flower girls were: Verna Stetzel, Dora, Viola, Mildred and Delores Denzin and Bernice Zahorka.

The Mr. Denzin, a friendly young man, was well liked by all who knew him, was evidenced by the large number of floral offerings and the host of friends and relatives who attended his funeral.
