Carpenter, Cathryn D. (Marriage - 7 Sept. 1935)

Dark blue transparent velvet was worn by Miss Cathryn D. Carpenter, Abbotsford, for her marriage to Arlyn Brunkhorst, also of Abbotsford, Wis. The ceremony was performed at 8 o’clock Saturday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church by the Rev. J. Novak.

Gladioli and mixed flowers decorated the church for the occasion.

Miss Marie Carpenter attended her sister and James Vandehey was best man. Mr. Clarence Dolan sang at the mass ceremony.

Matching accessories and blue hat and veil completed the costume of the bride. She carried a bouquet of Johanna Hill roses and swansonia. The maid of honor wore a rust crepe dress with brown accessories and carried a colonial bouquet in shades of peach.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Frank Carpenter of this city, the groom, the son of Mrs. Henry Brunkhorst of this city.

Following the ceremony, breakfast was served for the bridal party at the home of the bride’s mother.

Mrs. Brunkhorst is the operator of the Frances Beauty Shop here and Mr. Brunkhorst is employed by the county.

Mr. and Mrs. Brunkhorst are making their home in Abbotsford after a trip through northern Wisconsin and Michigan.
