Colby, Wis. - May 22, 1958

Mr. and Mrs. August Spann spent Sunday at Merrill with Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Goetsch.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt left for Waukesha where they will make their future home.

Twin sons were born May 20 at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mueller of Colby, Wis., Route 2.

Mrs. Regina Davis and sons of Wausau spent Mother’s Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tesmer.

Otto Braun underwent major surgery at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Monday. He will be in the hospital nine or 10 days.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech, Jr., and sons of Beloit spent Mother’s Day with Mrs. Pech’s mother, Mrs. R. J. Stieber, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Sossaman and children of Milwaukee spent the week-end visiting relatives and friends in Colby and Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. Kate Wellnitz of Janesville and Mr. and Mrs. George Schwantes of Spencer visited at the home of Mrs. Anna Rienow Thursday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Grosshuesch and family of Waterford spent several days with the former’s parents, Rev. and Mrs. V. O. Grosshuesch.

Barbara Bender of Colby, a senior at Stout State College, Menomonie, was recently initiated into Alpha Psi Omega. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wilde and son left Sunday morning for Muskego, enroute to Camp Poak, La., after spending a 17-day furlough with relatives in Colby, Birchwood and Muskego.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman, Douglas Sossaman, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Netzler and Mr. and Mrs. Erv Cherek of Muskego spent the week-end in Colby and attended the wedding Saturday of Jim Dassow and Miss Rose Schaeffer at Medford.

Out-of-town people here for the funeral of Miss Mabel Neumeister last week Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Neumeister and Jimmie Hanson of Minneapolis, Minn., Harold Neumeister of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Al Hanson and William Hanson of Fairibault, Minn., Mrs. Nellie Sorebo, John Sorebo, and Thomas Sorebo of Mankato, Minn., Miss Helen Neumeister and representatives from the Anchore Casualty Company of *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
