Blodgett, Phyllis (Marriage - 12 OCT 1938)

Miss Phyllis Blodgett, daughter of Mrs. Laura Blodgett, became the bride of Albert Zimbal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimbal, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the parsonage of the Norwegian Lutheran Church in Curtiss. The Rev. Wm. Anderson read the services.

The bride wore a floor length gown of navy taffeta, blue suede slippers. Her shoulder bouquet was of pink roses and white chrysanthemums.

Miss Lena Schultz of Dorchester attended the bride as maid of honor. Her gown was a nile green taffeta, floor length.

Miss Vivian Busch of Abbotsford was bridesmaid. She wore a floor length gown of coral taffeta. Both attendants wore black suede slippers and shoulder bouquets of pink roses and white chrysanthemums.

Norman Schiszik of Curtiss acted as best man for the groom. Elmer Younkers of Dorchester also attended the groom.

Following the ceremony a wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimbal, Sr. The home was decorated with a profusion of dahlias. A seven o’clock supper was served.

In the evening the young couple entertained a large group of friends at a wedding dance given at Hinke’s Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Zimbal are making their home on the farm with the groom’s parents.
