Curtiss, Wis. - Feb. 27, 1958

The Curtiss Homemaker Club will sponsor a bake sale at Geary’s Grocery Saturday, beginning at 1:00 P.M. for the benefit of the polio and heart funds.

Mrs. Frank Matthias returned home last week from a three-month visit at Norfolk, Va., and Montreal and Quebec with her sons and their families.

Mrs. Victoria Thompson underwent major surgery Friday morning at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Mrs. E. M. Peterson stayed with her until Saturday evening.

A large number of relatives and friends helped Mrs. Anna Tonn celebrate her birthday Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Geary and daughter, Dorothy, spent the past week-end in Edgar with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Geary.

Rev. James Stone of Owen, who serves the Congregational church here, is a surgical patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kaufman, and sister, Mrs. John White, of Elwood, Pa., came Thursday to visit him.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Vegehlen returned to La Crosse after visiting here the past four months.

Gary Konik, who has been employed in Enderline, N.D., is enjoying a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Konik.

Mrs. Harold Reishus of Glen Allen, Ill., was a week-end guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.
