Ted Anthony Kaszubowski was born on August 27, 1918 in the Town of Taft, rural Thorp, to Alex and Irene (Cerwinski) Kaszubowski and was educated at Red Brick School. After receiving his education, Ted worked for the CCC Camp in St. Croix Falls before transferring to Patteson Park in Superior, WI. While there, he helped plant trees, build roads, and clear land for development. Ted later returned to the Town of Taft area, and helped his parents on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Marcella Depa on November 13, 1948 at St. Mary’s Czestochowa Catholic Church, where they were long time active members participating in church picnics and other church functions. They passed their strong faith onto their children through daily prayers. Together, they farmed in the Town of Thorp, and raised their family, until retiring in 1982.

In his spare time, Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, word find puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, helping out on the family farm, and playing softball in the yard after the farm chores were done. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Ted was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society and also was a member of the Board of Directors for Midland Cooperative.

Ted is survived by his wife, Marcella of 60 years, of Thorp; his children: Carol Kaszubowski of Thorp, Betty (Louise, Jr.) Stokosa of Lublin, Pat (Neil) Alger of Thorp, Robert (Debra) Kaszubowski of Thorp, Bonnie (Adam) Niedzwiecki of Thorp, and Linda (Mike) Jordan of Lafayette, IN; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Stanley (Sophie) Kaszubowski of Thorp and Alex Kaszubowski of Superior, WI; one sister, Irene (Buster) Heinle of Jim Falls, WI; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janice Kaszubowski, in infancy; and two brothers, Edwin Kaszubowski and Victor Kaszubowski.
