Nenahlo, Caroline (4 July 1876 - 22 June 1950)

Mrs. Charles Nenahlo of Manitowoc died at the Holy Family Hospital on Thursday morning, June 22, 1950. The body, brought to Neillsville, lay in state at the Bergemann Funeral Home. Services were conducted on Monday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Edward Radey of Manitowoc, a nephew of the deceased, officiated. Interment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Mrs. Nenahlo, nee Caroline Kubale, was born July 4, 1876, at Reedsville, Wis. On February 8, 1898, she was married to Charles Nenahlo at Reedsville. They resided there until 1924, when they moved to Neillsville, living on a farm in the Town of York until approximately seven years ago, when they moved to Neillsville. A few months ago they were compelled to discontinue housekeeping on account of poor health, and moved to Manitowoc. They celebrated their golden wedding in 1948. Mrs. Nenahlo was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of the Christian Mothers Society.

A general rosary service was held at the Bergemann Funeral Home on Sunday evening, Mrs. Nenahlo’s grandson, John Nenahlo of Kewaunee, was a mass server for the requiem mass.

Mrs. Nenahlo is survived by her husband and four children: Charles of Kewaunee: Sister Mary Carola (Anna), of West point, Nebr.; Sister Mary Caroline (Verona) of Manitowoc, Wis.; Mrs. Alex Poziombke of Neillsville. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank, Joe and John Kubale, all of Reedsville; Mrs. John (Anna) Radey of Cato, Wis.; Mrs. John (Mary) Ditmar of Kewaunee; Mrs. F. W. (Frances) Barta of Reedsville.

One son and one daughter are deceased; also one sister and three brothers.

Pallbearers were: F. L. Reinhard, Frank Svetlik, Ray Burr, Joe Wavrunek, Frank Simek and Max Feuerstein.

Relatives from out-of-town attending the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kubale, Joe Kubale, Bernard Kubale, Katherine Kubale, all of Reedsville; Sister Carola, West Point, Nebr.; Sister Caroline, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nenahlo and family of Kewaunee.
