Stuve, Dorothy (5 JUN 1948)

Miss Dorothy Stuve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howell Stuve, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Henry Kostlevy, son of Charles Kostlevy of Loyal (Clark Co.), at two-thirty o’clock Saturday afternoon, June 5th, 1948, at a marriage ceremony performed at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Chapel. The Rev. C. S. Matthew read the nuptial ceremony.

Preceding the bridal procession, Rev. R. S. Jones, pastor of the Methodist Church of Loyal sang "Because." After the ceremony, Rev. and Mrs. Jones sang as a consecration hymn, "Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us."

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father who gave her in marriage beautifully attired in a white gown of embroidered organdy and carried a red rose corsage on a white testament. Attending her was her sister, Mary Elizabeth who wore a gown of blue satin with blue marquisette. Her flowers were yellow roses. Jacqueline Stuve was flower girl and wore a dress of blue marquisette over blue satin with an embroidered yoke.

Both the bridegroom and his best man, Paul Stuve, a brother of the bride, wore blue double breasted business suits.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the community Hall which approximately 200 guests attended. Adding to the beauty of the affair were occasional bouquets of iris flowers.

The newlyweds are now residing on the farm home of the groom’s parents near Loyal
