Grisvold, Mary Elizabeth (Marriage - 3 Aug. 1957)

Miss Mary Elizabeth Grisvold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin Grisvold, and Frank Lawrence Nikolay, son of Mrs. Jacob Nikolay of Abbotsford, were united in marriage at Notre Dame church at Chippewa Falls Saturday, August 3rd, 1957, Father L. A. Dietrich, C.S.Sp., officiating at the nuptial service.

Pure silk organdy, Italian alencon lace over contessa taffeta fashioned the ballerina length bridal gown. The long torso bodice was detailed with alecon lace on the scoop neckline. The dress was short-sleeved with matching silk organda gauntlets. A very bouffant skirt. A small English cap held the pure silk imported illusion veil. The bride’s colonial bouquet consisted of glads, roses, and ivy.

Miss Ruth Fahick of Wausau, the maid of honor, wore a dress of cotton and silk, lime green, princess style and a large white picture hat with ribbons to match her dress. Her bouquet consisted of glads and ivy.

The groom was attended by Melvin Nikolay of Abbotsford, Wis.

A reception was held at the Northern Hotel in Chippewa Falls.

The groom is a member of the Nikolay, Jensen and Scott law firm.
