Schuhmann, Anna (16 Sept. 1885 - 13 May 1934)

Mrs. Anna Schuhmann, a resident of Abbotsford for about 15 years, passed away at her home here. She was found dead Saturday, May 19 when neighbors went to the house. The time of her death is not known, as she lived alone, but it is thought she died Sunday night or Monday morning, May 13 or 14.

Anna Schneider was born Sept. 16, 1885 in the Town of Hull. She was married to Alois Schneider in May 1903 at Colby, Wis.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s Catholic church at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning with the Rev. Father Novak officiating.

Mrs. Schuhmann is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Helmer, Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Elizabeth Bates, Steine, New Mexico; and Mrs. Robert Gierl, Abbotsford, and two brothers, Anton Schneider, Spokane, Wash., and John Schneider, Town of Hull.

She was an active member of St. Bernard’s church, and a member of the Altar Society.

Among those from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Habig and Mrs. Jake Hoffman, Marshfield; Mrs. Leo Luckowicz and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gierl, Colby, Wis.

The pallbearers were Louis Heisler, William Nagel, Frank Beil, Peter Van Rooy, John Kiefer and George Orth.
