Sternitzky, Ella (3 January 1869 - 27 May 1950)

Mrs. William Sternitzky, 81, of the Town of Lynn, died at her home on Saturday evening, May 27, 1950, after an illness of six weeks. The body lay in state at the Georgas Funeral home until Monday, when it was taken to the farm home until time of service.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the farm home and at 2 o’clock at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Granton. Rev. Arthur Oswald officiated. Interment was made in the parish cemetery.

Ella Davidson was born to James and Marcella Bailey Davidson on January 3, 1869. She came with her parents by ox team as a child to the Town of Lynn, where they farmed their entire life. She was a resident of Clark County for 80 years and resided on the same farm 61 years.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and an honor member of the Ladies Aid. She was married to William Sternitzky at Lynn on July 25, 1889. Nine children were born, seven of whom survive. They are Raymond, on the home farm; Mrs. Robert (Lulu) Ure, Granton; Mrs. Martin (Frieda) Johnson, Chili; Joseph and Leo of Granton; Gilbert of Plymouth; Mrs. Carl (Edna) Jens of Plymouth.

Her aged husband survives her; also 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, two cousins, Harvey Laureman of Milwaukee, and Archie Laureman of West Bend.

One brother, one son, and one daughter preceded her in death.
