Francis Piekarski, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning, Aug. 12, 1947.

Miss Caroline Rogalski, Withee, was maid of honor and Leon Pawlak, brother of the bride, was best man. Others in the bridal party included bridesmaids, Martha and Adeline Jaskot, sisters of the groom, and Dolores Ryktarsyk, cousin of the bride; groomsmen, Joseph Pawlak, Thorp, and Kelvin Pawlak, Withee, cousins of the bride.

The bride chose a gown of white satin fashioned with a beaded bodice and a long train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and larkspur. The maid of honor wore a yellow gown and carried a bouquet of gladioli and roses. The bridesmaids were dressed in blue and carried bouquets of gladioli.

The bride has been employed at the Thorp Beauty Shop. The groom is engaged in farming, and is a member of Kidd’s Kids baseball team.

After a reception at the P.N.A. Hall, Thorp, the couple left for a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin. They will make their home with the groom’s mother.
