Milas, Joseph A. (26 October 1929 - 11 October 2008)

Joseph A. Milas, age 78, of Lublin, passed away peacefully into the hands of God on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at home under the care of Hope Hospice. He was born on October 26, 1929 in Lublin, the son of the late Joseph and Magdalena (Kowal) Milas. Joe was raised on the family farm.

On February 18, 1950, Joe was united in marriage to Louise Przybylski. He worked on the family farm and later for Will’s Implement. Joe later started his own implement and repair shop in 1972. He enjoyed playing in various polka bands over the years.

Joe will be dearly missed by his family. Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise; his children: Tim (Jennifer) of Mount Horeb, WI, Marge (Kevin) Baker of Gilman, and Peggy Milas of Lublin; his grandchildren, Noel (Dale) Schilmgen of Mount Horeb, Matt of Mount Horeb, and Eric of Eau Claire; and his sister Stephania Woytowicz of Glenview, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Chester, Edward, Ted, Stanley, and Walter Milas; three sisters: Florence Kutyna, Bernice Brunn, and Anne Bieno; and a daughter in infancy, Kathy.

There will be a memorial service on November 1, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilman Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to services.
