Luchterhand, Patsy Jean (Marriage - 15 August 1970)

Miss Patsy Jean Luchterhand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Luchterhand of Rt. 1 Granton, was united in marriage to Jerome Norman Krause, son of Mrs. Walter Neumann of Rt. 1, Fox Lake, and the late Norman Krause, Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. The Rev. William Humlie performed the double-ring ceremony in the presence of 200 guests.

The bride was attired in an organza-over-taffeta, empire-styled gown, with appliquéd bodice and three-quarter sleeves. A ruffle and a high scalloped neckline and detachable train completed the gown. She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses and white stephanotis and ivy as she was escorted to the altar by her father.

Miss Helen Cheuvieu of New Richmond was maid-of-honor. Miss Judy Clouse of Thorp and Miss Melody Luchterhand and Miss Paula Luchterhand, both of Spencer, were bridesmaids. They wore Nile green, pink, aqua and yellow organza over taffeta empire-styled gowns, with round necklines and short, puff sleeves. They carried white ‘mum daisies and colored ribbons to match the color of each girl’s dress.

Daniel Schwantes of Marshfield was bestman. Lynn and Mike Luchterhand, both of Granton, and Mark Krause of Fox Lake, were groomsmen. Stanley Dietsche of Marshfield and Gary Luchterhand of Spencer were ushers.

Music included “O Perfect Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer”. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, with 200 attending.

The bride graduated from Loyal High School in 1967 and attended Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire for the last three years. She plans to intern in the Greenwood Schools this fall and to graduate in January, 1971. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi sorority. The groom graduated from Spencer High School in 1966. He attended the farm short course at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1966 and 1967, and is farming.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home on Rt. 1 Spencer.
