Kadonsky, Adele (3 June 1890 - 15 July 1938)

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Frank Kadonsky, Monday morning at nine o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic church. A solemn requiem high mass was said by Father C. D. Brady, pastor at St. Bernard’s. Father John Novak, former pastor, of Greenwood acted as Deacon, Fr. L. P. Strofer (?) of Lyndon Station acted as Sub deacon. Master of Ceremonies was Father Lawrence Klimek of St. John’s at Marshfield. Father Novak gave the funeral address.

The choir of which Mrs. Kadonsky had been an active member sang the funeral mass.

The pallbearers were Frank Beil, Fred Dietsche, Leo Bumann, John Boyle, Robert Janda and George Kadonsky.

Members of the Catholic Ladies’ Altar Society attended the funeral in a body and also took charge of the floral tributes. The deceased was also an active member of the Altar Society and served as secretary and secretary-treasurer for many years.

Following the mass interment took place in Abbotsford cemetery.

Bailey and daughter Betty of South Bend, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clement and sons, Arthur and Thomas of Milwaukee; Mrs. Wm. Hansen, Bessemer, Mich., Mrs. Anna Bucholz, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bucholz, and Richard Bucholz, all of Nekoosa; Mrs. T. R. Mullen and daughters, Margaret and Dorothy, and Arthur Houle of Ironwood, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. John Boyle and daughters, Ruth and Audrey of Joliet, Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blake, daughters Geraldine and Mildred and Mrs. Clyde Wilson of Marshfield.

Mrs. Frank Kadonsky was born Adele Clement, June 3, 1890 at Ironwood, Mich. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John H. Clement. She received her early education at St. Ambrose School in Ironwood. Following her graduation at Milwaukee State Teachers’ College she taught school for a number of years in Racine, Milwaukee and Ashland, which profession she left at the time of her marriage to Frank Kadonsky in Ironwood, June 30, 1919.

The young couple made their home in Abbotsford where they have resided since. To them were born one daughter and three sons.

During her life Mrs. Kadonsky was an active member of the Catholic Ladies’ Altar Society, the Abbotsford Music Study and Choral Club and the Library Club.

For the past few months Mrs. Kadonsky was in poor health and underwent a major operation at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on June 28th. On the day she was to be discharged she died suddenly. Embolism was given as the cause of her death.

The deceased leaves to mourn her her husband, Frank Kadonsky, daughter Irene, age 18; sons Raymond, 16, John, 10, Francis, 7, all at home. Her mother, Mrs. Alvine Clement of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. E. J. Foug, Milwaukee; Mrs. R. L. Bailey, Ironwood, Mich.; Mrs. Wm. Hansen, Bessemer, Mich.; three brothers, John and Arthur Clement of Milwaukee; Francis Clement of Kansas City, Mo. Her oldest sister preceded her in death three weeks ago.
