The joke is on Harry Youngs - ask him how.

The Thursday Club will meet with Mrs. Schofield Thursday afternoon, May 12.

It keeps the society doctor busy nowadays hunting up new diseases that the common people do not have.

J.H. Stafford, formerly of Janesville Settlement, has purchased the Wm. Youngs property for a consideration of $5,500.

Mrs. Thomas Fahey and mother, Mrs. Zetsche, were entertained by the Rossman's near Hemlock Sunday afternoon.

The annual meeting of the Citizens' Cemetery Association will be held in the Council Chambers on Monday afternoon, May 9. All members are urged to be present, as all dues were due on or before May 1st.

The hall will be crowded Friday with people who will come from far and near to see "Cranford," given by the senior class. If you want to be sure of a good seat go to the City Drug Store where the chart is now available, and pick yourself out a good seat for yourself and family.

The dance given by the Woodmen Thursday evening was a decided success and netted that order a tidy sum toward the payment of the hall debt. Gibson's Orchestra was at their best and can always be depended upon to furnish first-class and up to date music. They will be at the hall again on Thursday evening, May 19, when another big dance will be given.

Mrs. W.H. Palms, Mrs. Maud Carter, Mrs. Orrick, Mrs. Hartson and Mrs. E. Bowen left for Abbotsford Tuesday morning, where they were invited by the Eastern Stars of that place. After being royally entertained by that order, they returned home last night, very well pleased with the ladies of Abbotsford.
