Thieme, Arnold G. (3 JAN 1934 - 28 AUG 2013)

Arnold G. Thieme, 79, of Owen, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence in the Town of Longwood.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home in Owen. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Mayville.

Arnold G. Thieme, 79, of Owen, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence in the Town of Longwood.

His funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home in Owen. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Mayville.

Arnold was born January 3, 1934 to Arthur and Alvina (Theilig) Thieme in the Town of Frankfort, WI. Arnold attended Park Grade School in the Town of Hoard and attended Owen High School. He enlisted in the US Army on April 7, 1955 and was honorably discharged on April 5, 1957. Arnold worked for Burkholder Electric, before beginning farming in the fall of 1957. Arnold was married in 1958 and later divorced. He farmed most of his life in the Town of Green Grove. Arnold retired from farming in 1996.

Arnold enjoyed watching western movies, listening to polka music and going to auctions. He was known to be a jack of all trades.

Arnold is survived by his children; Betty (Dan) Paczkowski of Withee, Duane Thieme of Abbotsford, Allen (Lori) Thieme of Withee and Nancy (Scott Hauser) Mateer of Colby, grandchildren; James (Kelly) Paczkowski, Joe Paczkowski, Fawn (Calvin) Friedenfels, Randy Thieme, Dakota Mateer, Cheyanne Mateer and Dylan Hauser, 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters; Pearl Mengel of Georgia, LaVerna Marcott of Curtiss and Annette Frahmann of Washington and one brother; Norman (Pat) Thieme of Withee.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Alvin and three brothers-in-law.
