Bersch, Naomi Edith (Marriage - 24 November 1948)

Jacob Calvin Stucki, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Benjamin Stucki of Neillsville, was married last Wednesday at Sauk City to Miss Naomi Edith Bersch, daughter of Dr. A. W. Bersch of Sheboygan.

The wedding took place in the First Evangelical and Reformed Church of which the Rev. Wilson Bixler, formerly of Neillsville, is the pastor. The groom’s father read the single ring ceremony for his son and his bride.

The bride wore a wine colored suit and a green orchid corsage. Her maid of honor, Miss Marie Stucki, wore a suit of aqua and a gardenia corsage. The bride’s ring was of unusual interest, being formed of a center band of yellow gold, which had been her mother’s wedding ring, with outer bands of white gold in flowered designs.

After the wedding a reception was held in a Sauk City hotel, after which the young couple left for Madison, where they will be at home at 211 South Mills Street.

Jacob teaches biology at the University of Wisconsin, where he is simultaneously working for his M. A. in Zoology. The bride received her M. A. in music at the University of Wisconsin, and gives private vocal lessons.

The Rev. and Mrs. Ben Stucki were the only Neillsvillites to attend their son’s wedding.
