Garbisch, Leona Helen (Marriage - 18 May 1948)

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Tucker, newlyweds, are making their home at 913 Weeks Avenue Superior.

They were married on May 18 (1948) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. John J. Pritzl read the nuptial mass.

Mrs. Tucker is the former Leona Helen Garbisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Garbisch of Granton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Tucker of Superior.

The bride was gowned in white satin with a marquisette overskirt. Her full length veil was caught to a seed pearl headdress. Her bouquet consisted of Calla lilies tied with a satin ribbon.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Ralph Lautenbach of Granton, wore pink. The bridesmaids, Mary Anna Tucker and Amber Marg, wore blue. All carried pink and white carnations.

The groom was attended by his uncle, Edward Manley of Chicago, Patrick Tucker and Frederick Garbisch of Granton.

Following the ceremony 70 guests were entertained at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mrs. Tucker is a graduate of the Granton High School. Mr. Tucker is a graduate of the Superior High school and is employed as a railroad engineer.
