Hegenbarth, Leona (Marriage - 12 May 1948)

The wedding of Miss Leona Hegenbarth, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth, of Greenwood, Wisconsin, to Ronald Tieman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tieman, of Thorp, was held May 12, (1948) at 7:30 p.m. in the parsonage of the United Lutheran Church of Greenwood. The Reverend Theodore Nelson officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Fourteen relatives and friends were assembled in the parsonage, which was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers for the occasion. The maid of honor was Miss Catherine Hegenbarth, a sister of the bride, while Marvin Karlen, of Thorp, a mutual friend of the bride and groom, was best man.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Theron Pagel of Thorp, sister and brother-in-law of the groom; Mrs. Maurice Nielson of Oregon, Wisconsin, sister of the bride; Harold and Carmen Nielson of Oregon, nephew and niece of the bride; Ruth Olson, also of Oregon, Catherine Lorvig of Starbuck, Minnesota; the Misses Joyce and Linda Tieman of Thorp, sisters of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Olson of Loyal.

A three-tier wedding cake made by Mrs. Olson was the central feature of the table decorations.

The bride graduated from Greenwood High School and has been employed by the telephone company in Greenwood. The groom is a graduate of Thorp High School. His occupation is farming.
