Mrs. Frank Zuege Sr. nee Caroline Augusta Wilhelmine Behm, was born at Lochnitz, near Berlin, Germany, on Oct. 4, 1862, and passed away at her home in Loyal at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12th.

The deceased was ill at her home here since last May and death was due to complications and old age.

Coming to this country from Germany in 1868 with her parents when only six years of age, she settled in Wisconsin. At the age of 14, she was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Bloomfield, where she grew to womanhood. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church of Loyal.

In 1884 she was united in marriage to Frank Zuege at Oshkosh. In 1900 they moved to Clark county and settled on a farm in the Township of Loyal, where they lived until 1924, when they moved to the Village. Her husband preceded her in death on July 4, 1940.

This union was blessed with 14 children, 10 of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Helen Welsh, North Fond du Lac; Mrs. Alma Hall, Herman Zuege and Bernard Zuege of Milwaukee, William Zuege and Ernest Zuege of Stevens Point; Mrs. Anna Habhegger, Mrs. Margaret Gardner and Frank Zuege of Loyal, and Mrs. Leonard Martin of Cudahy, besides 24 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Behm.

Funeral services were held from the house at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15th, and 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church here, with interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating.

Pallbearers were Herman Zuege, Floyd Gardner, William Zuege, Ernest Zuege, Frank Zuege and Bernard Zuege.

Flower girls were the following grandchildren: Lucille Sommers, Lorea Gardner, Katherine Habhegger, Lois Habhegger, Mabel Zuege and Bernice Zuege.

Relatives from away attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Behm and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Behm of Weyauwega, Wis., and Mrs. John Bahr and Miss Marie Bahr of Berlin, Wis.

The Tribune joins the many friends of the deceased in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
