Dux, Paul F. (19 FEB 1885 - 3 SEP 1947)

Funeral services for Paul F. Dux, 62, of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), were held Monday afternoon at the farm home west of Neillsville, and at St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. William A. Baumann, pastor, officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery. Mr. Dux had been ill the past five years and about 10 weeks ago entered St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he died at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 3, 1947.

The body lay in state at the Georgas Funeral Home until Sunday morning, when it was removed to the farm home.

Paul Dux, son of Fred and Wilhelmina (Nemitz) Dux, was born Feb. 19, 1885, in the town of Pine Valley, on the same farm where his entire life was spent. He was a member of St. John’s Church.

Surviving are four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Anna Zank, Mrs. Otto May, Mrs. Albert Wagner, Otto Dux and Fred Dux, all of Neillsville; Mrs. John Miller, Glidden. His parents and a sister, Mrs. Ida Seelow, are deceased.

Those from away who attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and son, John Jr., and Mrs. Ruth Klinski of Glidden; Mrs. Agnes Ahrenkiel of Hayward; Mrs. Bertha McCourt of Oconto; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zank and family of Appleton.

Pallbearers were all nephews of Mr. Dux: Maurice May, John Miller, Jr., Harris and Frederick Dux, and Louis and Paul Zank. Mrs. Janie Paulus was in charge of the flowers, the others, all relatives of the deceased, assisted: Mrs. Ruth Klinski, Mrs. Agnes Ahrenkiel, Mrs. Roselyn May, Miss Juliette Dux and Marvin Dux. Miss Carole Wang sand "Abide With Me", accompanied at the organ by John Bremer. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.
