Wiater, Anthony #4 (10 OCT 1945 - 7 JUL 2008)

Anthony "Tony" Wiater, 63, Whitehall, formerly of Neillsville, died at the River Way North Adult Family Home, Whitehall, on Monday, July 7, 2008. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 10, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Bernard Raschke officiated. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Anthony Wiater was born on Oct. 10, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Charlotte (nee Stus) Wiater. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Neillsville where he was raised on the family farm and received his education. He worked with his parents on the farm until entering the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. He later moved to the River Way Adult Family Home, Whitehall, where he resided until his death. He had many interests, but especially enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing games, and visiting with people. He was liked by all and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include two brothers, Eugene (Bonnie) Wiater, Buffalo City, and Cyril Wiater, Withee; three sisters, Caroline Palms, Neillsville, Mary Ann Ormond, Marshfield, and Patricia Wiater, Omro; a special niece, Penny May Poeschel, Neillsville; one sister-in-law, Susan Wiater, Wausau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Leonard Wiater, George Wiater, and Charles Wiater; and two sisters, Christine Ormond and Frances Kleszuski.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
