Wiater, Anthony "Tony" (10 October 1945 - 7 July 2008)

Anthony "Tony" Wiater, 63, of Whitehall, formerly of Neillsville, died at the River Way North Adult Family Home, Whitehall Monday, July 7, 2008.

Anthony Wiater was born October 10, 1945, in Chicago, IL, the son of Frank and Charlotte (Stus) Wiater. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Neillsville, where he was raised on the family farm and received his education. Tony worked with his parents on the farm until entering the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. He later moved to the River Way Adult Family Home in Whitehall, where he resided until his death.

Tony had many interests, but especially enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing games and visiting with people. He was liked by all and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by two brothers, Eugene (Bonnie) Wiater of Buffalo City and Cyril Wiater of Withee; three sisters, Caroline Palms of Neillsville, Mary Ann Ormond of Marshfield and Patricia Wiater of Omro; special niece, Penny May Poeschel of Neillsville; one sister-in-law, Susan Wiater of Wausau; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leonard, George and Chester Wiater; and two sisters, Christine Ormond and Frances Kleszuski.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Loyal. Fr. Bernard Raschke officiated, and burial followed in the Neillsville Cemetery.
