Lowery, Sherman I. (28 January 1877 - 1946)

Sherman I. Lowery, 69, of Logan Hill, Wash., died recently in a hospital, in Centralia, Wash. He was a brother of William Lowery of Granton, and a former resident of this community. He is survived by five sons: Leonard L., Ivan L., and Russell H. Lowery, all of Centralia, Wash., Floyd W. Lowery of Galvin, Wash., and Charles A. Lowery of Chehalis, Wash. Two sisters and a brother live in the west: Mrs. Ella Furlong of Centralia; Mrs. Ethel Campbell of Bucoda; Thomas Lowery of Centralia. One sister, Linda, Mrs. William Dahl, lives at Medford, Wis., a brother, Jay Lowery, lives at La Crosse and a brother, Henry Lowery, is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The deceased was born January 28, 1877, in Richland County, Wis. He was married to Bertha Green, at LaFarge, where they lived for several years. Later he moved to Clark County and lived for a time at Granton and later near Shortville. Several years ago the family moved to Logan Hill and purchased a ranch there, which has since been his home. His wife preceded him in death.

News of the death reached the Press through a niece, Mrs. Mona Kleinschmidt of Eugene, Ore., and a friend of the family, Mrs. Jesse Schultz of Hixton, Wis.
