Davis, James Jeffery (14 January 1944 - 25 July 1946)

Funeral services for James Jeffery Davis, 2 ½ year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Davis of Almond were held Monday afternoon at the Georgas Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. A. Fahlgren officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery. He died July 25, (1946) at Wild Rose Hospital, having been ill five days with intestinal infection.

James Jeffery was born January 14, 1944, in Milwaukee to Fay and Pauline Davis, who survive. He was their only child.

Mrs. Davis is the former Pauline Wittke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wittke, former Neillsville residents, now living in Almond. Mr. Davis is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis also of Neillsville. He returned June 1, 1946 from overseas, where he had served with the Marine Corps.

Shoop, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis, all of La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Wittke and son, Lester of the Town of Weston; Mr. and Mrs. August Wittke and family of Humbird; Mrs. Pedtersen of Chicago; Mrs. Bernice Doubleday of Beloit; and Mr. and Mrs. Carol Janecek of Almond.
