Whitford Graduation

Emily Joy Whitford is the daughter of Becky Bocnuk and Kevin Whitford of Marshfield. She was at the Abbotsford Christian Academy (ACA) since fourth grade.

She attended five years of the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) International Convention at the University of Missouri at Warrenburg, Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff and James Madison University in Virginia.

Emily participated in the Hand-bell Choir and small ensemble which gave command performances at the ACE international convention and received first place. She had command performances at the regional convention this year for her poetry recitation, female trio and female duet. She also participated in the vocal music, drama, platform social studies exhibits and athletics. She was co-captain of the volleyball team.

She has participated in the Mexico mission’s trip with the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church in 2006. Emily attended an ACE service adventure in Mexico last summer and will again this summer. She has also taught five-day clubs with the Child Evangelism Fellowship for four years. Emily has been involved as an Awana helper for the last three years. She has also participated in the weekly hymn sing at a local nursing home since she was three years old. As a student at ACA, she has served as a peer mentor this past year.

Emily plans to continue her education at Bob Jones University in South Carolina and major in journalism.
