EVELYN (STREBING) GILLIS

Evelyn Gillis, 87, Rockville, MD, died April 18, 2008, at her home.

Evelyn was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Neillsville, the daughter of August and Ester (Hewitt) Strebing. She received her education at the Washburn School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to James E. Gillis.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; three sisters, Hazel, Mildred and Florence; four brothers, Clarence, Howard, Kenneth and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Leos The Great Catholic Church, Fairfax, VA.
