Schultze, August (1866 - 21 DEC 1945)

August Schultze, 79, a pioneer resident of the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) for thirty-five years, and for the past two years a resident of Withee (Clark Co.), passed away at his home in that village Friday, Dec. 21, 1945, after a long illness.

He had a long and successful career as a farmer and a trade as a stone maker, which he was active in up until a year ago, at which time he retired.

His passing is mourned by his wife, two sons, Edwin and Elroy of Owen, and three daughters, Mrs. George Funk of Withee and Viola Schultze and Mrs. Sylvester Reese of Minneapolis, and a brother, Fred, of Wausau, and a host of relatives and friends who enjoyed his acquaintance.

Last rites were read Sunday, Dec. 23 from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) by Rev. Leon Norby of Minneapolis. Interment was made in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
