Lincoln, Lola G. (6 NOV 1953 - 23 MAY 2008)

Lola Gail Lincoln, 54, Pound, was born into eternal life on May 23, 2008, at her home in Pound, surrounded by her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 31, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara.

Lola Anderson was born on Nov. 6, 1953, to L. G. and Leila (nee Smith) Anderson. She grew up and received her education in Loyal, graduating form Loyal High School in 1971. Following her graduation, she attended UW Superior, where she majored in physical education and minored in psychology. She met Terry Lincoln in college. They married on Dec. 28, 1974. They started their family, having two sons, Lance Aaron and Travis Ryan, in Superior, and in 1985, moved to Niagara.

She played a very active part in the school and in community. She was a substitute teacher for the school districts throughout the area. She coached the summer youth soccer team (S.A.Y. organization) She was the head of the Youth Futures High School Community Service, an organization that helped students make better choices for themselves. She coached the Kids Bowling League. She was a foster parent. She was a member of the Niagara Women’s Bowling League. She was active with the Community Chest, Booster Club, and fundraisers in the Niagara community. She chaperoned high school dances. She was an advocate for her two sons, in their education, Boy Scouts, sporting activities, life achievements and in their adulthood. She was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church, Niagara. She was known as a person willing to help out anyone, anytime, or any way she could.

Her greatest loves were her two sons, family, and her grandchildren. She was a great mother and dedicated her love unconditionally. She was a generous person, and her sense of humor was contagious. She always had something to say no matter what. Her life was full of many special people. Her friendships were cherished. Her pleasures were teaching and traveling. Her journey might have been cut short, but her vibrant spirit will live on within all who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Lance Aaron Anderson-Lincoln, Niagara, and Travis Ryan Anderson-Lincoln, Green Bay; her grandchildren, Dawson Terry Lincoln, and Danika James Lincoln, Niagara; her step-daughter, Tracy Lynn Ripp (Boomer), Poynette; five sisters, Colleen (Ron) Anderson, Owen, Wendy (Larry) Anderson-Markow, Janesville, Christine Huskelhus, Marshfield, Letha Anderson, Loyal, and Amy (Thomas) Mouldon, Kyle, Texas; nieces, nephews; special friend and devoted companion, Michael Beayleau, Pound; her treasured and devoted lifelong friends, Gary and Mary Hansen, Niagara; her caregiver, confidante, and trusted friend, Sandy Neargarth, Niagara; and her many dearest and cherished friends of Niagara.

Preceding her in death were her parents, L. G. and Leila Anderson; and her husband, Terry Lincoln.

The Jacob’s Funeral Home, Niagara, is assisting the family with arrangements.
