Hollmann, Edward (26 May 1915 - 13 May 2008)

Edward Hollmann, 92, Chilton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton.

The funeral service was May 17 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Edward V. Hollmann.

Edward was born May 26, 1915, in Dorchester, son of the late Frank and Christina (Fleckenstein) Hollmann.

He married Eleanor Seidel on June 11, 1941, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, Wis.

Edward farmed in the Dorchester area for over 25 years before the couple moved to Chilton in 1966. He then worked at Farm and Home in Chilton for over 30 years.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Calumet County Historical Society. Edward enjoyed dancing, playing the accordion and was an all around handyman.

Survivors include his wife Eleanor; four children, Phil (Peg) Hollmann, Gail (Wayne) Radtke, Rothschild, Stan (Bev) Hollmann, Platteville, and Steve (JoAnne) Hollmann, Appleton; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Helen (Louis) Obernberger, Stratford.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine (Charles) Krajci, Bernice (Elmer) Frank and Cora (Robert) Smith; and two brothers, Frank (Helen) Hollmann and Herbert (Dorothy) Hollmann.
