Inez B. Reigel

UNITY -- Inez B. Reigel, 75, of Unity, Wisconsin, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at her home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Colby, Wis. The Rev. John Gualbert will officiate. Private family burial will be at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby, Wis.

Inez was born July 13, 1932, in rural Arpin to Floyd and Grace (Southern) Hause. She graduated from Auburndale High School. She worked at the Marshfield Shoe Factory. Inez married Elmer Reigel on Sept. 11, 1951, in Marshfield. After their marriage, they bought a farm on County Highway Y in the Marshfield area. In 1964, Inez and Elmer moved to Unity, purchasing and operating Reigel's Blue Moon Tavern, where she tended bar and served food until her health worsened.

Inez like doing puzzles, reading romance novels, fishing and her weekly shopping trips to Marshfield. Inez enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Inez is survived by her daughter, Shirley Reigel of Unity; four grandchildren, Keith Flink, Kenny Flink, Dustin Podeweltz and Melanie Podeweltz; two great-grandchildren, Emma Flink and Aliyah Flink; two brothers, Donald (Delores) Hause of Wisconsin Rapids and Harold (Shirley) Hause of New Berlin; and "Jill," her dog and constant companion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; sister, Edith Ubinger; an infant son; and Frisky, her beloved dog.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
